confusing download instructions

Like most people on the App Store I paid and then began the process of downloading/installing the app. The rub in this case is the advice and suggestions the developer makes on his website, where he provides various sets of instructions for steps to be taken prior to downloading and installing of the app, depending on the source (developers site version vs, App Store). This I noticed *after* installing the app after purchase here on the App Store.

Guess its too late in my case. Ill have my fingers crossed that everything works out alright.
