Does what it’s meant to do - DOWNLOADS

It’s simple and robust, has nice features. Just works fine!!

Good stuff

This is a very reliable download manager. I used to prefer DAP when I had a Windows system but I think this is about as good as it gets for OS X. I have only had a few problems with the application but nothing that prevents warrants me swearing it off. It’s solid.

Nice…. but perhaps can have more features

This is a nice app, and works great. One feature it lacks is being able to use a cookie file where session state may be stored. This is necessary where one needs to be logged into a site. Second, it does not allow us to specify the name of the downloaded file (we have to rename it while its downloading) — this is a minor thing though. Third, does not seem to have a feature to continue download of a previously partially downloaded file.

Great

Very Fast

Nifty little utility that gets the job done

I was pleasantly surprised by this nifty little utility. I have a rather troublesome internet connection such that I’m often dealing with broken downloads, and so it’s nice to have a piece of software that takes care of that. I should also mention that the automatic hash checker was a particularly welcome surprise. Pricewise, in its current state I’d say the developer is more than fair. If they added a speed limiter on top of everything else, I’d say they could even get away with raising it a bit.

The best out there!

Literally, it is the best sandboxed downloading tool. I couldn’t ask for more.

Great features that make the most out of a not-great internet connection

I live in Africa, where there is a lot of latency, stalled connections, etc. Using Progressive Downloader allows me to download files much faster b/c of using multiple threads (or “connections” to a specific server), as well as auto restarting if the connection drops. For example, downloading an OS X update from the App Store is horribly slow. But if the download is available on the web (most major OS X updates are), then you can use PD and add multiple threads and the speed will increase a lot. I use it for most every application update on my Mac. This is one of my must-have apps.

oh myyyy godddd…thanks application team…please add download from youtube

this app very very better than idm in windows….its 10 more times better than folx…u must get this app …its perfect ..download speed is boooommmmm…anyway thanks for this app…and u are the number 1 app in download manager app for mac

Does everything you could want/need and then so much more

I use this for all of my downloads now. My 200 MB to 30GB files are downloaded faster and with less of a hassel than before. Let me tell you as a both a windows and a mac power user you will have a hard time finding a tool better than this. I highly recommend it. While some free options may have the basic functionality the low cost of this tool is well worth it to help support the developer behind it.

thanks

I really like working with this app. not only it is easy, but also has everything you wish to have in downloading your things. thank you
